The Presiding Bishops Greeting

In the hallowed words of Apostle Paul, I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making requests for you all with joy.  Philippians 1:3-4.

Honor to the leadership of Bible Way.  I express my appreciation to God for the life, health, and strength of our Chief Apostle Huie L. Rogers and Queen Mother Doris Rogers who God is keeping in critical times like these.  I honor the members of the presidium, joint board of Bishops, District Elders, Pastors, International Auxiliary Leaders, and the saints of the most high God.

I am writing to you to share my heart and the present vision of Bible Way World Wide.  As it has been said, these are the times that try men’s souls. With the recent advent of the Corona Virus also known as COVID-19, our world has been thrown into a chaotic season with uncertainty and fear lurking to grip the hearts of mankind.  Let me first share my personal prayers for those who have contracted the virus and my prayers and condolence to those families of individuals who have succumb to the same.

Many of my personal acquaintances and ministerial colleagues have been victimized through illness related to the virus and unfortunately, others who have transitioned to their heavenly reward.  The question is asked, seeing then all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be…… II Peter 3:11 In other words, how are we to respond during these turbulent times. I submit, first and foremost that we continue steadfast in the vision given to me, that Bible Way maintains a healthy habit of prayer and intercession. The word promises us that upon seeking the face of God and turning from our wickedness, God would hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal the land.  In the 63 years of our church’s existence, we have never ceased to fellowship in our yearly meetings. From the international convocation, down to the diocese and district levels, it is unfortunate but yet with the wisdom of God that I share that all international meetings for this year of our Lord 2020 are now postponed.  I assure you that our Bishops and Pastors and even the constituents and members of Bible Way World Wide will be continually updated as to when we shall resume.  We will continue to function with our global mission to build Bible Way.

I am committed to the advancement and organizational thrust of our Church.  I solicit your prayers for every Pastor in our fellowship, for our brothers and sisters of Bible Way.  Let us pray for first responders, medical professionals, police and firemen, and those on the front lines.  I appreciate the cooperation and support of every Pastor and although each church is autonomous and functions under the guidance of the local Pastor, I strongly suggest that each of us adhere to the ordinances of “shelter in place” and that we not gather in numbers beyond the statute of our states and municipalities.

As your international Pastor, I stand with you and am beseeching God on your behalf that we all come through this victoriously.  Know that God is on our side.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper!  We’re still walking in the prophetic theme given to the church for this year.  The stage is set, God will keep his word, prepare to receive the promises of God. YES! This is still the season of Preparation for Reparation! May God continue to bless you and keep you.
